Canberra Brick Expo

Report from the Canberra Brick Expo, Hellenic Club, Canberra
August 12th to 14th, 2017

We're back from lovely Canberra after heading down the Hume Highway (and back again!) - fresh from our exhibition at the 2017 Canberra Brick Expo held in the Hellenic Club.

The Hellenic Club, Woden, Canberra.

We were very excited to show off our new additions to the display ( the five large buildings) for the first time. Learn more about the skyscraper build here.

The addition of the "third level" of buildings has added more 'scale' and dimension to the display.

We've spent nearly two years preparing and refining the final version of our display. Here's a list of the total pieces in the display:
Bricks, plates, windows, roof tiles = 11,311
Minifigures = 16
Trees = 28
Street signs = 31
Street lamps = 27
Diecast cars = 13
Baseboards: 2
Total pieces = 11,418

Here are some pictures of our final display at Canberra which includes the third level at the rear of the display:

We all had such a great time at the show - the committee did a wonderful job at organising everything and we had a great time chatting to all the Lego enthusiasts that came along to show and chatted to us. Ages four to 84 - we had so many conversations! It's great to see that just because this display is nearly 60 years old, doesn't mean it has lost it's relevance.
