The Supermarket

We really want to include a supermarket in the new part of the display. We think it needs to have a presence, but doesn’t need to be a large-scale building. We found a great old photograph of an old Woolworths Building. As best we can decipher it is apparently from downtown Houston in Texas, USA. The photo looks to be sometime from the 1970s, but the building is definitely from the modernist design period.

As with the school building we’ll use the lettered 1 x 1 bricks again for the nameplate on the building. We’ll alos use the 1 x 1 round bricks for the front columns.

The Supermarket is 30 studs wide, 7 studs deep and 12 bricks (and 3 plates) high. This prototype design has 221 bricks in total.
