The Post Office

This small building takes its inspiration from the 1950s Lego time period. Released between 1951 and 1955 Lego Mursten sets (translates to ‘Lego Bricks’ in English) featured parts similar or the same as those released in sets from the late 1950s and early 1960s – including the Town Plan set we have. This flyer had a nice little building we think might make a nice post office.

There are some slight variances on the sizes of some of the pieces between the Lego Mursten and the later Town Plan pieces – we can work around that though…

We’ll also downscale it slightly so it fits a little more neatly on one of the baseplates rectangles.

We’re happy with this, we feel it fits well with the design of our 1960s Lego town and will compliment the original Town plan buildings.

The Post Office is 10 studs wide, 8 studs deep and 11 bricks (and 1 plate) high. This prototype design has 100 bricks in total.
