The Blue Apartments

We have finally completed all our buildings that sit on the two baseboards. It's about time we make decision on where we are going to display the restored vintage collection. If we are to apply to display at Brickvention in Melbourne, we would need some buildings at the rear of the display to add a sense of scale and some height. As interesting as the two baseboards filled with small buildings is, the set needs something special to make it complete...

The first of our large buildings is featured on the cover of a box set released in the mid-1950s:

It took about 10 hours of constructing and reconstructing in all, it took around five attempts before we were happy with the result:
